The Huskies came out of the gate hot with quarterback Anton Amundrud connecting with Daniel Perry on a 34 reception to quickly move the ball down field, but Amundrud would fumbled the snap that would result in a sack and loss of yards on the play. David Solie would then send his 27-yard Field Goal Attempt far right keeping the game tied early on. Later on in the quarter, Solie would punt the ball away after another unsuccessful drive, but Kayden Miller would force and recover a Dino fumble giving the Dogs great field position. A quick 2-and-out would bring Solie back onto the field where he would sail his 27-yard field goal through the uprights this time for a 3-0 Huskies lead at the end of the quarter.
The second quarter had no shortage of action for either side. Each team traded some 2-and-Outs. David Solie would have a chance to increase the Huskies lead, but sailed his 36-yard field goal attempt wide right once again. Not to long later, Branson Pipko would catch the punt return and march it down the field 68-yards for the games first touchdown and a 10-0 lead for the Dogs.
Dinos quarterback Dom Britton would get shaken up on the play forcing Xaiver Vaillancourt to come into the game, where he would face back-to-back sacks from Lane Novak and Seth Hundeby. With the back back and deep in their own zone, Anton Amundrud would get picked off by Nate Beauchemin and giving the Dinos a chance at the Huskies 12-yard line. Xavier Vaillancourt would quickly connect with Matt Sibley on a 10-yard reception to get the Dinos on the board right before halftime.
In the third quarter, the action would continue with Dinos quarterback Dom Britton returning to the game after taking a hit late in the second. The Dinos tried giving the Huskies a taste of their own medicine with a quick start. Britton would find Gob Deng wide open down the field, but Deng would drop the pass. Shortly after a great punt return by the Dinos, they would take not one but two unnessacery roughness blind-side blocking penalties that would put them back deep in their own zone. Lane Novak would then pick off Britton and go the distance for a pick-six, but a roughing the passing penalty would continue the Dinos drive. Vince Triumbari would send his field goal attempt wide left to keep the game 10-7 in favor of the Huskies.
Before the end of third, after a 2-and-Out by the Huskies, David Solie would punt the ball away only to have Nick Wiebe force a fumble that would be recovered by Ramsey Derbas to give the Huskies great field position and another chance to increase the lead, but Anton Amundrud threw deep into the endzone only to be picked off and giving the Dinos the ball to start the fourth.
Late in the fourth quarter with the Huskies still leading 10-7, the Dinos would put together a strong drive that would result in a 40-yard field goal from Vince Triumbari that would tie the game at 10. Griffin Sander would get a turn at quarterback for the Huskies, but would have a hard time at generating any offence. The Dinos would put together a 37-yard drive that started at their own 20-yard line down to the Huskies 44-yard line resulting in another field goal from Vince Triumbari that seen his kick bounce off the post but through the uprights, giving the Dinos a late 13-10 lead, their first of the game.
Anton Amundrud would return at quarterback for the Huskies looking to put together a late drive to respond. The Huskies would march it down the field giving David Solie a chance to tie the game with a 47-yard field goal, but for the third time in the game he would send it wide right. The Dinos would run down the clock giving up a safety, but it wouldn’t be enough for the Huskies to force a comeback. The Dinos win 13-12.
