Saskatchewan RCMP responded to a report of a serious collision on Highway #33, approximately 28 kilometres southeast of Regina. Also, the westbound lanes of Highway #1 near Belle Plaine were blocked around midday today (Tues) due to multiple semis hitting guardrails. An RCMP news release issued at 1:21pm indicated Highway #1 had reopened.
Saskatchewan RCMP also responded to a multi-vehicle collision involving two semis on Highway #10 approximately six kilometres east of Fort Qu’Appelle. Highway #10 was blocked with one semi jack-knifed across the road. An RCMP news release sent at 1:52pm said Highway 10 had reopened. RCMP have not released details about injuries in any of the collisions.
As of late afternoon (Tues), Regina Police had responded to 12 accidents. A news release from the Police Service says the majority was minor. One collision this morning just before 6 at 9th Avenue North and McCarthy Boulevard resulted in minor injuries.
