Big River RCMP are looking for help from the public to locate a man wanted in connected to an assault at a home in that community. Police were told a man approached a Big River home and damaged it, including setting a small fire inside, and then he assaulted the occupant of the home. No serious injuries were reported.

Thirty-five-year-old Elvis Dreaver of Big River is charged with arson, mischief under $5,000 and assault with a weapon. There is a warrant for his arrest, and he is also wanted on a charge of being unlawfully at large for violating conditions of a temporary absence/reintegration leave from a correctional facility.
