The provincial government has announced supporting 77 projects through the Saskatchewan Veterans Service Club Support Program in this fiscal year. It provides grants for facility repairs, upgrades and operations to non-profit clubs which support veterans, with a total investment each year of $1.5 million.
Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans of Saskatchewan Provincial Command President Rick Taylor says, “We have seen all veterans service clubs utilize the funding for facility improvements like new HVAC systems, flooring and upgrading accessibility. All of which enhance our ability to care for Veterans.” The Royal Canadian Legion, Saskatchewan Command administers the program and sits on the adjudication committee with the Saskatchewan ANAVETS .
