The final tally for the province-wide Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Radiothon was a record-breaking $1,158,113. CEO of the JPCH Foundation, Brynn Boback-Lane thanked the children and families who told their stories, the volunteers and everyone who donated, saying, “Every single donation has made an impact – changes the lives of and saves the lives of our children.” There were 80,000 visits to the JPCH last year.
Boback-Lane says this $1.15 million will help ensure Saskatchewan kids are supported from corner to corner, making sure access, delivery of care, and quality equipment is there when it’s needed. The funds raised go towards providing better access to pediatric transports from rural and remote communities, providing care for kids remotely with virtual robotics, saving kids lives with cutting-edge technology and enhancing the skills of medical professionals with state-of-the-art equipment.
