As for the Men’s team, they dominated down the stretch, but it was a much closer game. The Dogs jumped out to an early lead, but MacEwan would claw their way back and continue to trade points back and forth and would result in a Huskies 18-15 lead. Saskatchewan had a solid second quarter, putting up 24 points this time around heading into halftime with a 42-33 lead.
MacEwan would come out of the gate hot to start the second half catching the Huskies by surprise, but would rebound and go into the fourth quarter with a narrow 56-50 lead. The fourth quarter however was the best quarter played by the Huskies without a doubt, outscoring MacEwan 22-11 and playing a strong defensive game that seen key blocks multiple time in the final minutes. Saskatchewan pulled away with a 78-61 victory and their second win of the young season, improving their record to 2-and-1
