A 29-year-old man who went into medical distress while in Detention at Saskatoon Police Headquarters on November 4th is now in stable condition and is recovering. Around 6:30 in the morning last Saturday, a detention paramedic observed the man, who had been brought in an hour earlier, agitated and going into medical distress. His condition continued to decline so he was transported to hospital for further care and assessment. Saskatoon Police reported at that time that he was in critical condition.
Officers with the Major Crime Section are investigating, and as is required by the Police Act, the Serious Incident Response Team were notified of this incident and will review the investigation.
