According to a study from an online casino expert website, Datslots, Saskatchewan is the unluckiest province in Canada when it comes to lottery wins.
Datslots analyzed lottery winnings of $10,000 or more over the last 12 months in Canada’s three national draws: Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49 and Daily Grand.
The average winnings per 1,000 residents in Saskatchewan is $17,360.
The biggest win in the province in the last 12 months was $5 million.
Nunavut topped the list with average winnings of $173,473 per 1,000 people.
Despite having the most total winnings in the past year, Ontario ranked fifth in the study.
