Saskatoon Police responded to a home in the 1100 block of Northumberland Avenue around 7:30 Monday night, after a report that a woman had been assaulted, threatened and robbed with a firearm. Officers were told she had been outside the home in a vehicle. She was treated for what are believed to be minor injuries by EMS.

Officers confirmed the suspect was inside the home. The Police Service reports that the Tactical Support Unit was able to convince numerous people to come outside, including the 38-year-old suspect, who was then arrested. From a search warrant, police say multiple firearms including a sawed-off rifle, sawed-off shotgun and a homemade zip gun were seized. The 38-year-old is facing charges that include armed robbery, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, and uttering death threats.
