In the aftermath of a multi-vehicle collision Saturday evening on southbound Idylwyld Drive North, two people were transported to hospital.
The incident, which occurred around 10 p.m. between 51st and 60th Streets, led Saskatoon Police Service investigators to determine that a 19-year-old driver of a pick-up truck experienced a medical emergency. That led to collisions with four other vehicles throughout that area. The 19-year-old driver of the pick-up truck and a 49-year-old passenger from one of the other four vehicles involved were transported to hospital by paramedics with, what are believed to be, non-life-threatening injuries. Idylwyld Drive southbound traffic was re-routed around the scene at Marquis Drive for several hours. Members of the S-P-S Collision Analyst Unit investigated, but no charges are expected to be laid in relation.
