A young male appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court Tuesday, charged with dangerous driving, following an early Tuesday morning high-speed and dangerous driving incident in P-A.
At about 3:15 a.m. Tuesday morning, patrol members with the Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) spotted a Dodge Charger traveling southbound in the 2800 block of 6th Avenue East at excessive speed. The vehicle exited the city southbound on Highway 3. A short time later, PAPS members saw the same vehicle heading north on Highway 3 back into Prince Albert. They clocked the Charger doing in excess of 200 kilometres per hour in a 90 kilometre per hour zone. Officers followed the vehicle and located it parked at a residence in the 400 block of 23rd Street East. Two occupants of the Charger tried to flee on foot, but were taken into custody after a brief pursuit. The driver, a 19-year-old male, was charged with dangerous driving following further investigation into the incident.
