Around 3:30 a.m. this morning, in the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue W, Saskatoon Police Service patrol officers spotted a truck that was known to be stolen.
Police tried to pull the vehicle over, it fled, but then came to an abrupt halt a block away. Police say the driver refused to get out of the vehicle but instead revved the engine multiple times and then drove forward ramming a police cruiser and reversing to hit a second police vehicle. The driver was removed eventually from the truck and taken into custody.
A 34-year-old woman is charged with two counts of Assault, Fail to Stop, Theft of Motor Vehicle, Impaired Driving, Refusal, Possession of Methamphetamine, Obstruction and breach of court-imposed conditions.
