A spree of recent break-ins in Wadena is under investigation by the RCMP detachment in that town.

Investigators believe that either very late on Thursday or early on Friday, an unknown individual or individuals broke into three different locations. One was the food bank in Wadena and stole gift cards, another was the curling rink with a sum of cash taken and the third break-in was at a funeral home with a small of amount of change stolen. Investigators believe the three incidents are related, but cannot confirm that as of yet. The Saskatchewan RCMP Forensic Identification Services are aiding Wadena RCMP with the investigation. Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or captured it on surveillance video in Wadena late on December 14th or early December 15th is asked to contact Wadena RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
