The Government of Canada has issued a recall notice for playpen mattresses called VividVibeBearPas playyard mattresses. The white mattress comes in six different print designs, and it has a dark blue tag with a picture of a cartoon teddy bear. They are designed to fit Graco and Baby Trend playpens.

The mattresses are being recalled because they are thicker than regulations allow, and therefore pose a suffocation hazard. The advice is to cut the mattress in half and dispose of them in regular household garbage.
