The North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, is busy tracking Santa again this year.

The NORAD Santa website includes some trivia you may not have heard. The weight of the gifts on Santa’s sleigh to begin the night is 60,000 tons. The sleigh itself weighs 75,000 gumdrops. Santa Claus begins the night at 260 pounds and after all those snacks along the way, he ends the night at a jolly 1,260 pounds.
For children wondering how Santa is able to visit so many homes in a night, NORAD explains that Santa functions within a different time-space continuum than the rest of us.
