A woman was assaulted on Boxing Day around 12:30 a.m. in Pelican Narrows and was transported to hospital with serious injuries and now RCMP are looking for one of the suspects in the case.

Police have charged 20-year-old Shante Beatty and 18-year-old Aiden Charles, both from Pelican Narrows, with, among other charges, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Shante Beatty was arrested that same day in Pelican Narrows, but RCMP continue to try and track down Aiden Charles. He is described as 5’7″ tall and approximately 200 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He is known to frequent areas of Pelican Narrows and La Ronge.

Investigators believe there may be additional suspects and continue to investigate. They ask those with information about the incident, or the whereabouts of Aiden Charles, to contact their local police service or anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
