A search warrant was executed Wednesday by the Guns and Gangs Unit at a Saskatoon home in the 1000 block of 23rd Street West where police say their officers seized a loaded, sawed-off shotgun and ammunition.

Two people were arrested at the home without incident. A 32-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman are facing a number of firearm related charges in court Thursday.

The two are charged with eight firearms offences including Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon with Readily Accessible Ammunition and Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited.
