Black cart garbage services are removed from property taxes and transition in January to a monthly utility rate, beginning with a fixed rate of about $9.92 a month through June for all households with rollout black cart garbage services.

The new utility fees, based on the cart size you choose, won’t start until mid-year following the cart swaps.

The estimate for the smallest cart, which is a 120 Litre cart is about $3.73 a month, then $4.05 a month for the 240 Litre size and the largest at 360 Litres, which is the existing cart size, will cost approximately $10.58 a month.

Parking rates and fines are also being adjusted. The hourly rate at the City’s metres will increase from $2.00 to $2.50 and fines will rise from $30 to $35, then from $50 to $60 for tickets not paid within 10 days.
