It was a record-breaking day yesterday (Tues) weather-wise. Environment Canada says it’s because of a mild, Pacific air mass. Twenty-three records were broken across the province for the hottest temperatures ever recorded for January 30th.
Saskatoon was not among them, but some of the 23 are Swift Current, which blasted its old record of 8.9 set in 1941, hitting 17.2 yesterday. Also in the south, Assiniboia more than doubled its record of 6.1 set in 2006 with a high yesterday of 13.7. The record high for Watrous set in 1993 was 6 degrees and is now 9.1.
