In Prince Albert’s State of the City Address, Mayor Greg Dionne told a Chamber of Commerce audience that P.A.’s economic development is leading the province.
He stated that Prince Albert leads in construction per capita for the next three years, which affirms the city’s growth.
Dionne believes the increasing project list shows that developers and investors are drawn to the Gateway to the North.
He noted the Victoria Hospital Expansion which will bring 500 new specialized jobs, a strip mall with six lease spaces, and an Aquatic and Arenas Recreation Centre in the construction list.
Future projects include an Event Centre in The Yard District, a 4-storey office complex, a grocery store and an urban 42-unit RV park around the retention pond.
Dionne says, “The City is grateful to the numerous community partners, recognizing their collective efforts to improve and strengthen the community and the shared goal to enhance our city’s overall well-being.”
