“The Ultimate Team-mate” is coming to Dalmeny!

The Dalmeny Sabres Under-15 hockey team found out on February 1, in a video message from Hockey Hall-of-Famer Jarome Iginla (pictured), that they won the second annual Practice With a Pro Contest put on by Dr. Oetker Canada Ltd. Between November, 2023, and January, 2024, residents of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba were invited to nominate their favourite youth hockey team, with the winning entry provided the opportunity to take to the ice for a practice with “Iggy” and share some Giuseppe Pizza. the Canadian hockey legend, and then indulge in delicious Giuseppe Pizza. The Dalmeny Sabres, and the community, will have their day with Iginla and Giuseppe Pizza on Saturday, April 13. The Sabres were chosen over many submissions based on a number of community-assists they have provided over the course of several months.
