The victim of Saskatoon’s first homicide of 2024 has been partially identified, and a second suspect has been arrested.
Previously, a 32-year-old woman was charged with first degree murder after police found a body inside a home in the 600 block of Lisgar Avenue.
Wednesday evening, police arrested a 34-year-old Saskatoon man and charged him with first-degree murder as well. He made his first appearance in court Thursday morning and was remanded into custody.
The body has been identified as a 25-year-old Alberta man. Police will not be releasing the victim’s name at this time. The suspect and victim are believed to be known to one another.
The Major Crime Section is continuing to investigate. Anyone with information believed to be relevant is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
