Two men are charged with aggravated assault and robbery following an incident early Friday morning (Friday) in downtown Saskatoon.

Just before 1am,  a patrol officer noticed a man being assaulted by two others in the 100 block of Avenue  S South. The pair fled before the officer get out of the police cruiser. The two men were arrested a short time later and police allege the 29-year-old man spat in the face of a constable. Both men are also charged with breaching court ordered conditions
