Saskatoon Police say officers were dispatched at 3:54 p.m. Monday afternoon to a report of a man threatening people with a gun.
The call came from a business in the 900 block of 22nd Street West.
Police say the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived but, with the assistance of a police service dog and handler, was located and arrested shortly after, near the 200 block of Avenue K North.
Upon a search of his person, police located a sawed-off rifle and sawed-off shotgun. As a result, the 23-year-old male has been charged with multiple weapons offences, a breach of release order and had outstanding warrants.
