Denver Bronco’s head coach Sean Payton will speak to University of Saskatchewan football supporters at the annual fundraiser on May 2nd at Saskatoon Prairieland Park.
Payton started his NFL head coaching career with the New Orleans Saints in 2006, leading the team to the playoffs in his first season. He coached the Saints for 15 seasons, highlighted by a 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the 2009 Super Bowl. Payton took control of the game by starting the second half with a successful on-side kick.
After taking a two-year break, Payton was named the head coach of the Denver Broncos in 2023.
Huskie Football Foundation member Mike Gartner credits former NHL player Kelly Chase with making the connection.
Money raised from the Dogs’ breakfast go toward football player scholarships. A total of $2.1 million has been raised during the past 22 events. Tickets can be purchased online here.
