Classes are cancelled in Prince Albert and Battlefords areas tomorrow (Fri) because of the rotating one-day strike by teachers, after the STF and the Government-Trustee Bargaining Committee reached an impasse. Province-wide, there will be no noon hour supervision. Parents will have been contacted about this with each school division handling the situation differently.
Saskatoon Public Schools says all elementary schools will be closed at lunch, which the school division says is to ensure student safety. Those that use the bus or a cab, will be transported home at lunch unless alternate arrangements have been made. High school students at all of the Collegiates will follow their regular shortened Thursday schedule on Friday, as well as today (Thurs).
Greater Saskatoon Catholic School students in Saskatoon, Martensville and Warman, for both elementary and high school will have classes in the morning, but not the afternoon. The schools will be close over the noon hour, but will reopen in the afternoon with teachers available to support learning for those who are there. There will be no end of day bus service.
