The Major Crime Section of the Saskatoon Police Service is investigating a homicide.

Officers responded to a home in the 200 block of Avenue I South at around 12:25 early Saturday morning.

Police discovered a 48-year-old man with a gunshot wound at the scene. The male victim passed away from his injury soon after being taken to hospital for treatment.

The deceased’s name has not yet been released, however the next of kin has been informed.

Both the suspect and the victim were acquainted with each other.

This is Saskatoon’s third homicide of 2024.
