Local trail groups across Canada could be awarded funding to improve their pathways, thanks to Trans Canada Trail’s annual Trail Care Grant program.

These grants help fund projects that repair and maintain recreational trails and build volunteerism in the trail sector.

Any trail group that is part of the Trans Canada Trail network can apply for funding through an online form. Applications close Feb. 29, 2024, at 5PM Pacific Time.

In 2023, Trans Canada Trail gave 192 Trail Care Grants to groups across Canada, totaling $237,500 in funding for trail improvement projects.
