Manslaughter charges have been brought back against the man accused of killing Alex Whitehead on New Year’s Eve 2022 in Prince Albert.

The charge had been stayed in March 2023, but now has been brought back in light of new evidence. The incident happened a little more than a year ago at a home on the 200 block of 13th Street East in Prince Albert. The 20-year-old Whitehead had severe injuries and died later in hospital.

Richard Budd has been charged with Manslaughter. Budd will appear in court on Thursday.
