The Sask Party has announced in a social media post the Regina Northeast MLA Gary Grewal will not seek re-election. Grewal’s name has been in the news lately because he owns the Sunrise Motel in Regina, which charged higher rates when the Ministry of Social Services was paying and is an investor at the Thriftlodge, which also charged higher rates. Grewal has said in the past he doesn’t make decisions about the rates.

The Sask Party’s social media post says a new candidate will be nominated on March 15th for the 2024 provincial election.
