All curbside collections in Saskatoon for today that being garbage, organics and recycling will go ahead as planned.
Missed collections (green, black and blue carts) from Monday will now be picked up on Saturday.
Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools says classes resume on Tuesday, however, all the GSCS-provided student transportation in Saskatoon, both buses and taxis, will be cancelled. This includes buses from Warman to Martensville, and service from Martensville and Warman to Bishop James Mahoney High School. Bus services by Horizon and Sun West School Divisions are running, but bus services by Prairie Spirit are not. Schools in the Prairie Spirit school division are open.
Saskatoon Public Schools (SPS) says classes at all elementary and secondary SPS will resume Tuesday, but there will be no bus or taxi services available to transport students to or from schools Tuesday as the city’s road conditions from the weekend “snow event” are still impacting bus routes. While facilities staff are clearing sidewalks and entrances of snow to all schools, SPS is advising families to be cautious when dropping off or picking up students from school because of large snowbanks that can make visibility of students to nearby traffic difficult at crosswalks and intersections.
Because of Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation job action Tuesday and Wednesday, all extra-curricular activities for those two days are cancelled.
Sask Polytech Saskatoon campus locations will resume in-person learning, labs and student services on Tuesday. Online classes continue as scheduled. If students are not able to travel to campus on March 5 for in-person learning or labs, please contact your program.
At the University of Saskatchewan operations will resume on Tuesday in Saskatoon and Prince Albert. This includes in-person classes, labs and assessment activities, as well as in-person activities for employees.
