The Saskatoon Fire Department reports that the fire at a home in the 4000 block of Taylor Street Monday morning has been deemed accidental. It originated in the garage and was caused by an electrical component malfunction. The Fire Department estimates the damage at $200,000.
Just before 6 this morning, emergency crews were alerted and the first arriving fire crews said the home and attached garage were fully involved, and flames were visible through the roof. The roof of the garage later collapsed.
