After the government turned down a request for binding arbitration in the teacher’s dispute, a new round of job action was announced Friday morning.

Monday and Tuesday there will be a withdrawal of noon hour supervision for all schools in the following school divisions: North East, Prairie Spirit, Regina Catholic, Christ the Teacher, Good Spirit, Ile-a-la-Crosse, Northern Lights, Prairie South, Southeast Cornerstone, SunWest, Living Sky, Light of Christ Catholic and Sakewew High School in North Battleford.

The STF said in a news release it is disappointed that Education Minister Jeremy Cockrill rejected the Federation’s invitation to take part in binding arbitration on the issue of class size and complexity.  And because the government refused to take part in arbitration, the STF says job action will continue.
