If you’re a fan of making your own beer and wine, this is good news. The Government of Saskatchewan announced that starting Tuesday (today) individuals holding a special occasion permit can serve beer and wine they made at home or at a licensed U-Brew/U-Vin facility. Minister responsible Dustin Duncan said in a news release that the changes will creation options for people hosting a wedding, reunion, or other family event. It also generates more business for U-Brew and U-Vin facilities. Events will still need to get a special occasion permit from the SLGA. As well event organizers can’t charge guests for the homemade wine or beer.
