A break-in causing property damage at the Rosetown and District Foodbank recently forced the organization to temporarily close.
Chairperson for the Rosetown and District Foodbank Joanne Stanyk says they were only down for part of the day and says there wasn’t too much missing just more in the way of property damage, so they were open for business a few hours later.
She also expressed appreciation for the community response with people stepping forward to help right way, once they heard about what happened.
While donations of any kind are always welcomed, Stanyk says some of their top needs include canned fruits, canned vegetables, cereal, granola bars and lunch items for kids are always welcome as well.
