Sigh… Morgan Wallen was arrested again…
Late Sunday night, Wallen was responsible for chair making an unscheduled landing on the street from a rooftop bar (yep, you heard that right) which promptly led to him making an unscheduled landing directly into a jail cell.
The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. on Sunday when Wallen reportedly tossed a chair off the rooftop of Chief’s Bar. Yes, his friend Eric Church’s new bar. You might remember Morgan’s first arrest famously took place at Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk, also located on Nashville’s famous Lower Broadway. So he’s 2 for 2 when it comes to getting arrested at celebrity themed bars in that specific area of Nashville.
Thankfully, no one was hurt, but it sure did shake up the evening for a couple of officers and bystanders – as the bar, which had been celebrating its grand opening weekend, quickly became the scene of a police investigation.
Authorities were able to piece together the events leading up to the arrest after interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage. The footage revealed Wallen, visibly laughing, heaving a chair over the rooftop’s edge—a reckless act that prompted his immediate arrest. The police affidavit highlighted the grave danger posed to both the officers nearby and the public at large, citing this as the primary reason for Wallen’s charges. Which were felony charges by the way. This arrest is no joke.
Following his arrest, Wallen was processed and later released from jail after posting a bond of $15,250. His legal representation has stated that Wallen is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
This event has cast a shadow over Wallen’s current “One Night At A Time 2024” tour, which kicked off with significant fanfare. With his next court appearance scheduled in early May, the country star finds himself at a crossroads, facing serious legal repercussions for his actions.
This is a developing story. We’ll provide updates as we receive them.
