If you were one of nearly 16,000 Saskatoon residents who requested a smaller black garbage cart, you can expect delivery of that cart starting April 15th. It could be dropped off anytime between next Monday and June 15th.
If you go to the City of Saskatoon website you will be able to view the delivery schedule.
Funding black cart garbage service is now generated through a utility charge not your property tax. As such for the first six months of the year the charge for carts regardless of size is $9.92 a month.
The cart sizes include the current large (360L) as well as a medium (240L) and a small (120L) black cart.
If you missed out on the first cart swap period, there will be another opportunity to swap your cart in the fall with requests being accepted beginning July 8th.
