Wednesday night, Maureen Alice Torr was acclaimed as the 2024 Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Saskatoon Meewasin.
Born and raised in Uganda, Torr moved to Canada in 2004 and obtained a Diploma in Business Administration from Saskatoon Business College. She would go on to earn a B.A. in Political Studies from the University of Saskatchewan.
Torr is the Founder and Director of Joy’s Centre Corporation, based in Saskatoon with outreach projects such as orphanage and community school in Uganda for the underprivileged children. She resides in Saskatchewan with her family.
The Saskatchewan Party has now nominated 45 candidates for the 2024 provincial election. There are 61 constituencies in Saskatchewan.
