Two people involved in a drug trafficking and firearms ring in Regina were arrested and charged following a Tuesday evening search warrant enforcement action.

Twenty-five-year-old Mackenzie James Desnomie and 19-year-old Neveah Jewel Evaini Wasacase-Ewenin, both of Regina, were taken into custody when a search warrant was executed by the Regina Police Service’s Street Gang Unit and the Special Weapons and Tactics Team plus patrol officers at 9:40 p.m. on a residence on the 1100 block of Empress Street. Both suspects were in court Wednesday morning, facing numerous after the search of the residence produced methamphetamine, Canadian currency, a rifle, firearm parts and a replica firearm.
