After Saskatchewan RCMP received a report on Wednesday of a potential homicide in southeast Saskatchewan, a search was conducted at the Oxbow landfill for human remains. Nothing was found however the Investigaton did lead to the discovery of a woman who was deceased in a rural location in the RM of Moose Mountain on Thursday. The death is a homicide and the woman’s identity will be confirmed with input from the Saskatchewan’s Coroner’s Service.

RCMP have arrested and charged 27-year-old Tyler Shaw from Gainsborough, SK with accessory after the fact to murder. He is in Regina Provincial Court Friday.

A second man was taken into custody Thursday afternoon and RCMP say there may be a continued increased police presence on White Bear First Nation, in the RM of Moose Mountain and in Oxbow in relation to this ongoing investigation.
