If you even passively keep up with country music news, pop music news, or music news in general, you’ve surely caught wind of the new track Morgan Wallen and Post Malone are about to drop. It’s called ‘I Had Some Help,’ and they’ve been building up to this release for a while now. Ever since Posty posted (heh) a teaser on TikTok about a month ago.
Then, this past weekend, we finally got to hear the song in its entirety, albeit a live version at Stagecoach, and one that didn’t make its way online until Tuesday as Morgan’s set was the only one NOT on the Stagecoach official livestream. As expected, the crowd went wild, and it seems like it was a solid hit.
@shelbystsouver Song. Of. The. Summer. #postmalone #morganwallen #ihadsomehelp #stagecoach #countryfestival #stagecoach2024 #foryou
Following that debut, a radio station in the San Jose/San Francisco Bay Area called KBAY Country announced that they would be adding it to their rotation (fun way of saying adding it to their playlist) next Wednesday, May 8th.
Word from the grapevine on the street, and specifically from Post’s camp, says that we can expect the official release to hit all major platforms next Friday, May 10th. We’re likely going to get an official announcement from both of their teams early next week.
I’d ask if y’all are pumped about this one, but the writing is on the wall. And before you ask, yes, it will be my mission to make sure 92.9 The Bull has a copy by next Wednesday if, in fact, some radio stations will be getting it early. We won’t let you down.
