According to the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre, there are 90 fires burning across the country right now. Sixty-eight of them are under control, nine are being held, and the remaining 13 are considered out of control. Seven new fires started Thursday.
Alberta has the most fires burning right now at 39, followed by British Columbia with 23, and in third place is Saskatchewan.
Friday morning there are eight fires burning in this province with four of them contained. There have been 124 fires so far this year and the five-year average is 52.
