With an eye towards making sure candidates in the upcoming civic election are committed to ensuring Saskatoon continues to grow and remains competitive into the future, the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce has introduced the “YXE Election Pledge.”
According to a news release from the Chamber, the pledge is designed to encourage Saskatoon’s future mayor and council to do three things – refocus Saskatoon’s role, operate with excellence and invest in tomorrow. Jason Aebig, CEO of the Chamber, says, “This election is not just about picking a City Council, it is an investment in Saskatoon’s future.” Candidates for mayor or council who sign the YXE Election Pledge will be highlighted by the Chamber on the pledge’s website in the lead-up to the 2024 Civic Election in October.
