Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan provided almost $1.8 million in charitable gaming grants to groups and organizations in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year.
LGS Minister Laura Ross explains that the gaming grants are one of the ways the government ensures that proceeds from gaming are invested back into Saskatchewan communities.
Grants were paid to charitable groups and organizations in more than 250 communities, including around $427,000 in total and Saskatoon, $126,000 in Prince Albert and area and $61,000 in Humboldt, Melfort and surrounding areas.
