Regina Police made three arrests and seized drugs with an estimated worth of more than a million dollars.
Last Thursday afternoon, in connection to a drug trafficking investigation in the Queen City, two suspects were arrested from the 100 block of Froom Crescent where police seized 4 kilograms of fentanyl, 2.25 kilograms of cocaine, 6.5 kilograms of methamphetamine and more than $29,000 in Canadian currency.
In the wake of those arrests, search warrants were executed in the 500 block of University Park Drive where another half kilogram of fentanyl was seized in addition to 99.72 grams of cocaine, a half a kilogram of methamphetamine and more than $5,000 in Canadian cash.
The Regina Drug Unit and SWAT team made the arrests and police note that four-and-a-half kilograms of Fentanyl is significant because extremely small quantities of the drug can be lethal.
A 23-year-old, 20-year-old and 19-year-old were all in court Friday facing multiple counts of possession of a scheduled substance for the Purpose of Trafficking as well as Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime.
