The Saskatoon Police Service says they aren’t looking for more suspects, just the weapon used in the city’s 10th homicide of 2024. Two 29-year-old men were in court Tuesday with one facing a charge of second-degree murder and the other with possession of a dangerous weapon.
Twenty-nine-year-old Glenn Lennie had life threatening injuries when he was found in the 800 block of 22nd street west around three o’clock Monday morning. Lennie was taken to hospital where he later died.
Major Crime investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding a knife that is believed to have been discarded after the homicide. So, anyone living or working in the area within the perimeter of 22nd Street West, 18th Street West, Avenue H South, and Avenue J South are asked to thoroughly inspect their property.
Anyone with information relating to the homicide or who believes they have located the knife investigators are looking for is asked to contact police directly at 306-975-8300 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
