Yorkton RCMP have partnered with Shelwin House to develop a new domestic violence resource card.
Yorkton RCMP say their officers will carry the card which will also be available at the front counter of the detachment, and it contains contact information for the two local emergency women’s shelters as well as online resources.
The card is for women who’ve experienced intimate partner and/or family violence in the Yorkton area. To connect to domestic violence support in your community, call 211, text 211 or visit their website abuse.sk.211.ca. The service is free, confidential, and available 24/7 365 days a year in over 175 languages, including 17 Indigenous languages.
