The Federal NDP have chosen the Saskatoon West candidate for the upcoming federal election.
Yesterday evening, New Democrats selected Rachel Loewen Walker, who is the director of Women and Gender Studies in the Political Studies Department at the University of Saskatchewan.
She previously served as the Executive Director of OUTSaskatoon and as a board member for the United Way, the Saskatoon Housing Initiatives Partnership, and the Saskatoon Housing Authority.
Loewen Walker says she’s running for the NDP to bring the stories of Saskatoon residents to Ottawa. She aims to fo fight for public health care services, affordable housing, and to reduce the cost of living in Saskatchewan.
