Maidstone RCMP say the accident late Tuesday morning north of Lloydminster claimed the life a man from Lloydminster.

The call came in at 11:50 a.m. after a semi and a pickup truck collided on Highway 17 between 67th Street and Township Road 504.

Local fire, EMS and RCMP responded, and the driver of the truck was declared deceased at the scene by EMS. Paramedics also assessed the driver of the semi at the scene.  The age or any other information regarding the truck driver is not being released at the request of family.

The accident remains under investigation.
