Two female minors were arrested and have been charged in connection to a Thursday evening robbery in Saskatoon.
At about 8:50 p.m. Thursday, Saskatoon Police Service officers responded to calls about a robbery in progress at a business in the 1600 block of 33rd Street West with additional reports saying bear spray had been used in the business. The SPS news release said the suspects had fled the scene when officers arrived. They found several people suffering from the effects of bear spray. Video evidence helped officers in learning the descriptions of the suspects, whom they were able to locate a short time later. A 17-year-old female faces charges relating to robbery as well as multiple weapons offences. A 13-year-old female also faces charges related to robbery plus charges for obstructing a peace officer.
